AG PIEZO – The power of micron

Piezoelectric materials have revolutionized the world of high precision positioning and motion control. Phi Drive has used these materials to create actuators that are able to generate a controlled deformation of the rotor.

Actuators made by Phi Drive have based their operation on some important principles: sub-nano metric elongation, high frequencies and force characteristics. Design flexibility lets Phi Drive to satisfy the customer requests without sacrificing performances.

The possibility to stack two motors up guarantees high performance,  a good level of redundancy and the possibility to double the force without added encumbrance. The through hole allows the cables to reach and power the devices sited inside the actuator. The connection flange can be customized according to clients requests.

Two versions are available, according to the encumbrance and characteristics searched for: Standard and Micro. Its high precision (hundredth of degree) makes it suitable for applications of calibration and setting in the automation industry. Useful also for blocking and release systems in all sectors.

CSP – Custom Solution Positioning

By changing the dimensions of the rotor and piezoelectric elements it is possible to cover a large range of performances. The use of FEM-based simulation integrated with design optimization techniques allows Phi Drive to achieve an optimal dimensioning based on the requested specifications.
